冬天的英语是winter
一年当中最寒冷的季节，其他的为春、夏、秋。天文学上认为是从12月至3月，中国习惯指立冬到立春的三个月时间,也指农历“十、十一、十二、”三个月。
松鼠在快入冬时把找好的食物分散挖洞埋起来，然后到了冬天，在树洞里睡大觉，饿了就起来把埋好的吃的挖出来吃。
另外它们的腮里可以放进十八颗瓜子呢，先塞满了再去睡。
但它们的食物常常会被别的偷看的松鼠挖走另埋，而且有时它们自己埋好的也会忘记。可爱吧。
昆虫是变温动物，它们怎样过冬呢？原来它们各有一套诀窍。
螳螂能做成很大的卵块，一块就有三百至四百粒卵，连同分泌物一起形成卵囊。外面是一层很厚的保护层，粘附在向阳的树干上，不怕冰雪和寒风。
负子虫将卵产在自己的背上，然后潜伏在水下的泥土中过冬。
切叶蜂把成叠的椭圆形叶子运到地下或空心木头里面，筑成一排排蜂房，形成椭圆形的“住宅”。住宅内备有花蜜或花粉，产卵过冬。每只切叶蜂可以建造30个蜂房，所需要的椭圆形叶子至少一千张，工程之大，让人叫绝。
金龟子的幼虫，身体很肥胖，贮藏着十分丰富的营养物质，躲藏在泥土的深处，呈休眠状态过冬。
天牛，有一只天生的极其锋利的嘴巴，在树干上挖一条“隧道”，幼虫在这条“隧道”里过冬。
灯蛾的蛹，外面具有一层坚硬的几丁质外壳，能忍受严寒的侵袭，蛹体内又贮藏了较多脂肪，可防冻伤。
避债蛾从幼虫时期起，就用树皮和树枝做成一个“口袋”，背在身上或挂在树枝上，休息时，就躲进“口袋”里。深秋时节，它就钻进“口袋”里，变成蛹，安全过冬。
蜜蜂到了深冬季节，除了取食贮存的蜂蜜获得热量外，还围着蜂王“抱成一团”，组成一个蜂巢团，使蜂巢里的温度保持在35℃左右。如果外层的蜜蜂冷得受不住了，它们就来个里外“换防”。对那些幼虫，工蜂会像称职的保姆那样，每天给幼虫喂食1300多次。同时，工蜂们还聚集在一起，形成一道保温层，使幼虫免受严寒的侵袭。如果幼虫仍感到寒冷，工蜂们便张翅舞足，使蜂房内温度升高。

何洁（1986年3月25日－），彝族，籍贯中国贵州贵阳。中国大陆女歌手。现就读于四川音乐学院。2005年参加中国湖南卫视 “超级女声”，作为成都分唱区第三名晋级年度总决选，在2005年8月19日在“5进3”的比赛中被淘汰，成为年度总决选第四名。现作为天娱公司旗下艺人，已签约台湾艾迴音乐股份有限公司，首张个人专辑《发光体》已于8月18日发行。

Romney outspends presidential rivals
Republican Mitt Romney has spent more money, $52 million, and aired more television ads in his quest to become president than any other candidate has, a survey and campaign finance reports released Monday show.
Still, national polls have former Massachusetts Gov. Romney lagging behind former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani in the race for the Republican nomination.
According to reports filed Monday with the Federal Election Commission, Romney has amassed more than $61 million, including $17.35 million he has lent his campaign. He ended the third quarter of 2007 with $9.2 million in the bank, compared with $16 million for Giuliani, who has collected $47.2 million overall, the FEC reports show.
Those cash-on-hand totals paled in comparison with those of the leading Democratic candidates. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, the party's front-runner in polls, reported having $50 million in the bank and raising $80 million. Her closest rival, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, had $36 million of the $78 million he raised left.
Former Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) ended the quarter with $12.4 million in the bank, after raising $29.9 million in the first nine months of the year.

Lily Allen still has U.S. visa
Frantic fans of the British singer Lily Allen had a long day on Tuesday after wrong reports were published on the Internet. It was initially reported that U.S. Customs have revoked her visa and she will not be allowed in the country. The publications claimed that Allen, 22, was detained at Los Angeles airport flying from Australia and her visa was revoked due to the singer's clash with reporters in London earlier this year.
Allen's manager Neale Easterby responded to the reports by calling them "rubbish". "She's in Las Vegas right now. She will be there until Thursday shooting a video with Common and Kanye West for Common's track 'Drivin' Me Wild'," the manager said. He also confirmed that Lily Allen's tour will go as scheduled.
Lily Allen is the model Internet success. She became popular after creating a MySpace account and posting her demo songs on it. Thousands of visitors listened the demos and producers Greg Kurstin and Mark Ronson helped Lily with her debut album " Alright, Still".
